Sodastream Penquin Review and Giveway

My Family Review:
Make your own soda or seltzer at home in just seconds! No need to bother with lugging home heavy bottles and then having them go flat. With the Sodastream Penguin, you'll make your own great tasting seltzer or soda in a variety of flavors, anytime at your fingertips. It's fun, easy and ready in seconds.

It's not only fun to make soda but also you can showcase as Kitchen Icon. You can also sever it with unexpected guests anytime they visit your home.

It's design is wonderful so you don't have to hide in the corner of a Kitchen. Stylish and genuine design that serves you with refreshing summer drink.

It's also earth friendly environment. It comes with beautiful packed as shown in the picture below. And so it's a fantastic gift for House Warming.

The Coolest Thing In Refreshment:
http://www.sodastreamusa.com/files/imagecache/sc_catalog_product/penguin_starter_kit.jpg
  • Fresh, sparkling water & soda served in seconds.
  • You control the fizz and flavor.
  • Simple and quick to use ... and no cleanup.
  • Does not require batteries or electricity.
  • Eliminates the need to carry, store or dispose of cans or bottles.
  • Prepared and served in finely crafted, glass carafes.

The Penguin whimsically combines form and function in an elegantly designed counter top device. Sleek and stylish, the Penguin is about the size of a coffeemaker and effortlessly transforms water into sparkling water or soda in just seconds with no clean up. No more carrying, storing and disposing of bottles and cans. A tasteful addition to any kitchen, dining room or bar area.

Enjoy fresh, crisp refreshing sparkling water made precisely to your taste. Add a splash of fruit juice or twist of lemon or lime. And with the Penguin, you can even prepare fresh, healthy gourmet mixers and sodas.

The Penguin operates without batteries or electricity, making it perfectly portable from room to room ... or from house to yacht.

Environmentally friendly:
Reusing your carbonating bottles will drastically reduce discarded and recyclable material in our environment. Also saves money on deposit fees!

Better for you:
Sodium free! Add a drop of one of Sodastream's all-natural, unsweetened My Water flavor essences, or a fresh berry for a whisper of flavor. You'll have a great-tasting, fresh beverage that's 100% natural.

Sodastream and the Environment ... Drink to the Earth:

Americans drink more than 55 billion liters of soda and seltzer each year. That's almost 200 liters — about 600 cans! — for every adult and child in the United States. And, according to the Environmental Protection Agency, that adds 10 1/2 cubic feet of packaging per American — over 3 billion cubic feet! — in our landfills and recycling facilities every year.

With a Sodastream home soda maker, you'll enjoy freshly made, great tasting seltzer and soda in just seconds ... and you'll be helping our environment by drastically reducing waste from store-bought cans and bottles. And with no batteries or electricity, you can use your soda maker in your kitchen, outdoors on your patio or deck, or on your boat or RV.

Reduces Packaging: Reusable Bottles and Concentrate Sodamix
  • No bottles or cans to recycle or throw away
  • Saves thousands of containers for a family of four in a year
  • Carbonating bottles last for three years
  • Highly concentrated sodamix minimizes packaging
How it works:
Step 1
Sodastream Penguin
Open the Penguin and remove the glass carafe. Fill the carafe with cold water up to the fill line.

Step 2
Sodastream Penguin
Place the carafe into the stainless steel flask.
Step 3
Sodastream PenguinPull the horn downward until it meets tightly with the flask. Then, using the locking lever, turn the flask clockwise until the horn is locked with the flask.

Step 4
Sodastream Penguin
Push the carbonating lever downward several times in firm, short bursts. The water is carbonated when you hear the Penguin's signature whistling "chirp" sound. One chirp means the water is lightly carbonated; five chirps will make super-fizzy seltzer.
Step 5
Sodastream Penguin
Press the pressure release button, open the flask by turning it counter-clockwise and remove the carafe from the Penguin. Enjoy!

Sodastream Sodamix FlavorsSodamix Flavor:
Everyone in the family gets 25 flavors to choose and enjoy with sparkling water, energy drink and fresh juice by using the Penguin.
Enjoy healthy, gourmet sodas, including classics (Cola, Lemon Lime and Root Beer), mixers (Ginger Ale and Tonic), and extra-ordinary fruit flavors like Orange-Mango, Cranberry-Raspberry and Pink Grapefruit, starting at just 45¢ per carfe.

Sodastream is a healthy, sensible alternative to store-bought sodas. Regular flavors have 2/3 less sugar, carbs and calories than store-bought sodas, and contain much less sodium. Diet flavors are sweetened with Splenda® brand sweetener and contain no aspartame.

Sodamix flavors are all available in economy sized bottles. Each bottle of concentrated sodamix contains enough syrup to make about 12 liters of fresh, delicious soda.

Favorite flavor listed - probably cola or root beer. Interesting fact learned (new to me at least) - the number of different types of makers they make. I didn't even know about the Penguin until this post and was pretty impressed by the number of servings that come out of one flavor pack. I thought the ratio was much lower than the 50 8 oz servings from one bottle.

Diet Fountain Mist would be tasty and I learned that American’s spent $10 billion on bottled water in 2005 and paid up to 1,000 times the cost of production, a major windfall of profit for the companies. Bottled water can costs $7.50 to $11.00 per gallon in the supermarket but tap water costs most customers only one-tenth of one cent per gallon.

I love, love this Sodastream Penquin maker! My favorite flavor is Cranberry Raspberry and I think my children will love this! I learned that by using the Sodastream "A family of four could slash their home soft-drink-related packaging usage by over 90%, simply by using a Sodastream soda maker. That's a whole lot of cans and bottles that won't end up polluting our environment. Sodastream's plastic carbonating bottles are reusable for up to three years, and Penguin glass carbonating carafes will last even longer than that with proper care. A typical American will toss away over 1500 aluminum cans (and/or hundreds of plastic 2-liter bottles) over three years — while a Sodastream owner will use just one or two reusable carbonating bottles or carafes that come with the home soda maker."

That is so impressive! Thank you so much for the chance to enter.

Energy sounds good.

"SodaStream is an "Actice Green" company. Our solution when used by consumers is actively saving CO2 footprint. The more the system is used on a daily basis, the more CO2 footprint the user actively saves. This differs from "Passive Green" brands, which use green-friendly production processes, but their products are not inherently helping the consumer save on their daily footprint."

Wow, looks like a great system! The flavor I'd most like to try would definitely be the Pink Grapfruit (sounds delicious in a soda), and the feature I was pleased to learn is that the system allows you to control the level of carbonation for your personal taste (i.e., more or less bubbles). Thanks for the giveaway!

The Cranberry Raspberry sounds great. I also love that the soda is healthier than store bought sodas. (less sugar and carbs)

Regular soda mix flavors contain less sugar, calories, carbohydrates and sodium than national drink brands. I'd love the root beer.

The cranberry-raspberry looks tasty. I learned about all the things that they are doing to be a green company. I love that owning a sodastream would help my family contribute less trash into the waste stream.

the homemade cream soda sounds really yummy. I like that these are lower in sodium and sugar and pretty much everything else bad for you. I'm not a fan of most sodas available at the store, so this would be fun to play around with to customize something to my taste.
